Dear Elizabeth,
It's
Fall on
the Farm
and the
crisp
air and
school
buses
are
reminders
of
nature's
promise
to dress
in her
brightest
colors
over the
next few
months...
Up the
hill the
crickets
are
chirping
and the
yellow
goldenrod
and
purple
loosestrife
are in
full
bloom.
Monarch
butterflies
skip
gaily
over the
grasses
and soon
it will
be time
for
apple
picking..
Yea for
nature!!!

Changing
Seasons
Birds fly south in the Fall, bears find a quiet place and sleep til spring; butterflies travel thousands of miles before they return with Spring. Mrs. McPuppet will be joining her friends in traveling to far off places at times over the coming months with her newly retired spouse. Schedule your concert or event early to avoid the disappointment of finding Mrs. McPuppet is vacationing with her turtle friends in the Galapagos Islands!
My Summer Vacation
I hope your summertime has been fun and relaxing. We went to visit our son Cory, who was working in Guatemala for the summer at a project called Education and Hope. Ninety children come to an after school program where they receive a hot meal, a shower, and tutoring.
He took some time off to travel with us to see Tikal, an ancient Mayan city in the jungle where the insects sound like alarm clocks and the birds are thrilling. My next creature to come out of McPuppet's Studios will have to be the keel billed Toucan spotted in the Kapok tree, the bill is so colorful!! Here is market day in Solola. The women are dressed in their beautiful embroidered huipils ( blouses) and woven cortes( skirts).
