In most of
the choruses, the movement is described in the lyrics. I
have found that children love to make up their own moves.
This can become a creative and confidence building activity.
When you need to get energized, play one of these songs.
Seasons/ holiday songs:
Columbus day: Columbus
Said ( on Waltzing with Fireflies)
Halloween: Magic Parade
( on Magic Parade)
Fall: Gingerbread Man (
on Tea Party Shuffle)
Pretend to roll out the dough, raisins for eyes and
bake.
Run in place
during the chorus
Winter: Snowman's Café (
on Tea Party Shuffle)
Spring: Scoobie Doobie (
on Blue Sky Sparklin' Day)
Summer: 4th of July ( on Tea Party Shuffle)

freeze during the verse
Summer: Waltzing With
Fireflies ( on Waltzing With Fireflies)

conversation and good manners
Pizza Pie ( on Tea Party Shuffle)
Invite a child to make
up a move for the chorus, everyone follows it and a big round of
applause as they return to their seat.
Fiddle I Fee ( on Waltzing with Fireflies)
Ask for volunteers to
lead each animal with their own movement. i.e. The cat can pretend
she is playing a fiddle.
